Vikram Amladi
Capturing Stories Through Lens Mastery
Vikram Amladi is a Mumbai based DP with an academic background in Genetic Engineering, a Masters in Communication Studies from Pune University & PGD in Cinematography from SRFTI. As a cinematographer, he has masterfully woven visual narratives across the Marathi, Konkani, and Hindi film domains. With a portfolio that resonates with artistic finesse & storytelling, he has left an indelible mark on the world of cinema.
Notably recognized for his exceptional craftsmanship, Vikram gained widespread acclaim for his debut work on the 2014 Marathi gem "Fandry," a recipient of the National Award. This collaboration with director Nagraj Manjule not only captured hearts but also earned Vikram the coveted Filmfare Award (Marathi) for Best Cinematography in 2015, a testament to his ability to paint emotions through the lens.
Vikram Amladi's prowess extends in a diverse range of noteworthy projects. His lens has graced films like "Maunraag”, “Enemy?”, “Kuldip Patwal: I Didn't Do It!" – each painted with his unique visual perspective. The cinematic journey continued with "Ribbon" (2017) directed by Rakhee Sandilya, starring the talents of Sumeet Vyas & Kalki Koechlin, showcasing Vikram's ability to translate narrative drama into a unique visual.
Vikram received the Best Cinematography Award (Feature Film) 2024 Maharashtra Times Ma Ta Sanman for "Ghar Banduk Biryani" his latest collaboration with Nagraj.
An avid cyclist, Vikram is also a PADI Certified Scuba Diver specializing in underwater shoots, loves the outdoors & dreams of the Himalayas snows when not shooting. Vikram Amladi's career is a fusion of talent, innovation & dedication to the craft of cinematography. His lens bridges the poetic and the real, taking audiences on a journey that transcends words.
